Together we can make a difference and change lives
At Prison Seminaries Foundation Colorado, we strive to improve the correctional cultures of Colorado's prison system by providing residents with a quality accredited education. We believe that recidivism and new crimes can be reduced by changing rehabilitative efforts. When prisoners take responsibility for their transformation, it is powerful and lasting. This seminary program offers residents the opportunity to be their own solution, and to help their peers find the same solutions.
We believe a biblical and accredited education is the key to a brighter future. That's why we are partnering with Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary to provide quality degrees to our leaders.
Christian education is only as good as the personal character development of our students. Education, alongside genuine biblical discipleship has proven to radically change lives.
Since we have brought the seminary to Limon CF, we have seen a major shift in the facility's culture. Positive change is already occurring, and there is a positive impact on residents, staff, and administration.
Our graduates will be used as "Field Ministers", where they will be moved to other correctional facilities to impact change and develop and teach programming around the state of Colorado.
We believe in the power of community. That's why we're working to develop and strengthen communities through affordable housing, economic development, and other initiatives.
Join us in making a difference. Whether you want to donate, volunteer, or simply learn more, there are many ways to get involved and support our work.
The Limon Correctional Facility Seminary College has been a great addition to our facility. The relationship with Mid-America College and Dr. Jones has been outstanding. Men selected for year 1 have not disappointed us and have set standards for future selections. From the start of the program the men selected started to make a positive difference in their housing assignment by their positive influence on other men. These men are already providing hope and support to others in our facility through bible studies, prayer groups, and mentoring programs. They have a general passion to serve and change their environment. ~Terry Jaques, Warden
My name is Arne Johnson. I have been in prison for 29 years in Limon Correctional Facility. I was saved at my sentencing hearing when my victim's family forgave me of my crimes against them. They introduced me to Jesus that day in the courtroom. I am currently a pastor at the church here at LCF. It has been my desire to receive a quality biblical education from the day I was saved. Mid-America Theological Seminary has made this dream a reality for us.

Giving my life to Christ is the best decision I've ever made. Being a seminary student is an extra bonus to the life transforming work the Holy Spirit is doing within me. Prior to receiving Christ, I was a rebellious and troubled child who refused to conform to the Christian example my parents set for me. Instead, I chose a life of drugs, gangs, and criminal activity which eventually landed me in prison. Since being incarcerated God finally got my attention. Now I'm able to help support, counsel, and minister to those with similar backgrounds and lifestyles with the gospel of Christ.
